Hatherleigh in Devon has always been a quiet spot where the river flows past and the community centre keeps things ticking along nicely. You can catch a film night or join a local club without having to drive twenty miles for entertainment. It is not about how loud it gets, but how friendly the neighbours are when you walk into any room. The village hall often hosts something that turns a Tuesday evening into a proper gathering. People come along just to see what's on and leave with a full stomach and a smile. We keep an eye on what is coming up so you do not have to hunt for it yourself.

Please note the Community Centre now holds a license to show films. If anyone wants to show a film here please get in touch. Office hours are Mon - Fri 9 am - 12 noon or email enquiries to - we have the screen you will need to provide you own projector etc. Here's to some happy viewings!

Having run for many years, they are a familiar drop in for many and provide a time and space to catch up with friends, especially for those a bit isolated or living alone. They are hosted by different groups each week who take the opportunity for fund raising for their own causes.

Youth Café Run in the ‘Old Schools’ building in Hatherleigh Square, every Thursday evening. Completely free for ages 13-18, this includes, hot and cold food, table top games, pool table and Wii, but mostly, fun and friendship in a safe, nurturing environment overseen by our fully trained and vetted team drawn from Hatherleigh’s three churches.

3rd Sundays; Praise and Prayer (7pm) An opportunity to spend longer in sung worship, introducing newer songs led by the worship team of musicians. This will be a much less formal gathering with contributions of prayer or input coming from the congregation as well as the ‘front’. As we also believe in the work of the Holy Spirit it is possible that you may see and hear the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as described in the bible, in use.
