Art Changes Lives – Community Connectedness offers free, weekly creative sessions for adults who may be feeling lonely or isolated. Come and join Viv and Kate for a relaxed and friendly creative session where you’ll have the chance to try your hand at Hoop Weaving using a variety of materials. This is a gentle, three-hour afternoon designed to help you slow down, switch off from everyday stresses and fully immerse yourself in the joy of making. You’ll enjoy a calm, supportive atmosphere focused on social connection, mindfulness and creativity, where there’s no pressure to be perfect … just plenty of encouragement, laughter and time to explore something new. Whether you’re completely new to crafting or simply fancy trying a different technique, this session is all about learning, experimenting and having fun together. By the end of the afternoon, you’ll not only have new skills and something handmade to be proud of, but also a sense of calm, achievement and connection with others. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself and your enthusiasm to create. Starting with a wooden hoop (that has notches in it) you will thread it up to look like a wheel with spokes.

Mill Tours

We are a working corn mill, producing flour for sale and use within our bakery. We run guided tours lasting about 45 mins to 1 hour that explain the history of the site and the process of making flour. The mill is usually working during the tour but for operational reasons we can not guarantee this. All tours require pre-booking. Swing, Step & Scale Through Our Jungle Park Adventure! Located on Level 1, outside Boots, this thrilling obstacle course is packed with fun challenges that will have young adventurers climbing, balancing and swinging their way to victory. Take on exciting obstacles including: - Swinging platforms - Balance beams - Cargo nets - Moving timber logs - Bosun’s chair - Tarzan’s bridge Suspended 1.75 metres above the ground, the course offers a safe but exciting experience, with each child receiving three attempts to complete the circuit. Sessions last approximately 15–20 minutes, making it the perfect summer activity for energetic explorers. You can arrive at any time within your booked session. During busier periods there may be a short wait, but our team will be on hand to keep the adventure running smoothly. Jungle Park is suitable for children who are: - Over 112cm tall - Wearing closed-toe shoes For safety reasons, open-toed shoes, sandals, flip-flops and Crocs are not permitted. Children wearing these types of footwear will not be able to take part. Tickets are £4 per child. By the end of the morning, you’ll leave with your very own beatiful handmade dottee doll, a sense of achievement and the warm feeling that comes from spending time with others in a positive, creative environment.
