Live on the Lawn

The Wave Machine. Set against the backdrop of sweeping sea views from our clifftop garden, Live on the Lawn is all about enjoying a relaxing afternoon of great music, fresh sea air, and soaking up the coast with friends and family. This August Bank Holiday weekend, we’re welcoming back The Wave Machine, whose blend of live-looped guitar, bass, trumpet, and percussion is inspired by the rhythm and movement of the ocean. Expect laid-back, uplifting sounds perfectly suited to a summer afternoon by the sea. Take a look from last August here here. Housel BBQ. Due to popular demand, we will be serving up our epic Housel BBQ. Not forgetting summer cocktails and seasonal drinks too… Walk ins welcome subject to availability on the day. We recommend purchasing a BBQ ticket to guarantee your spot, available from 12pm. £30 per person for our Housel BBQ, with summer salads, sides & delicious dessert! £15 per child under 12. Port Navas Regatta

The Regatta starts at 12 noon on Saturday with the first race, The School Cup between Constantine and Mawnan Primary Schools, kicking us off at 12.30. There will be a food van; PNYC Bar & Restaurant food; the traditional cake stall; a bar; young kids races such as Egg &. Spoon and Sack Racing; games in the field including Cocconut Shy, Splat the Rat etc and a new game, Donald Duck Shoot; a tombola; the normal Regatta Races including rowing, run-and-row, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking; the chaotic but brilliant Fun Race; a grand raffle (donations of prizes most welcome); The Constantine Silver Band; and after the prize giving we will have live music and dodgy dancing and singing from the crowd as we welcome back Elvis Duane Presley, supported by Jake singing some banging hits.

Imagine as many musicians as possible, all playing together in perfect sync—big energy, big sound, big vibes (think mass rock performances for inspiration!). Now imagine you playing in that collective with friends old and new! Now imagine that you’ve practiced for 10 weeks and now your live on stage at Coronation Park. Stop imagining and JOIN US… When: May: 31 June: 7, 14, 21, 28 July: 5, 12, 19 August: 2, 9 12.00 PM – 4:00 PM Cost: £50 for all 10 sessions The grand finale? A live performance at Busk It! on August 16th! What Happens Over the 10 weeks? SESSION 1: Meet The Collective FIRST: Get to know everyone through icebreakers and a casual jam session and then learn a song as a whole collective (Electric Orcestra) We’ll figure out who plays what and at what level. THEN: We choose a song YOU want to learn (within your genre—rock, pop, indie, whatever your groove is). We start working on it together and getting the basics down.
