Lilo & Stitch: Open-Air Cinema South Kerrier Alliance Friday 24th July | 2pm FREE EVENT School’s out — summer’s here! Kick off the holidays with a free outdoor screening of Disney’s heartwarming live-action hit Lilo & Stitch at Coronation Park. Grab the kids, pack a picnic (or treat yourself to something from Lakeside Cafe), spread out your blankets by the lake and enjoy a feel-good family film on the big screen in the great outdoors. This is one of four free open-air cinema screenings this summer, brought to you by the South Kerrier Alliance — completely free for the whole community. This film is rated PG. Support free events at Coronation Park This year, over 60% of our events at Coronation Park are completely free. We do this because we believe that everyone in Helston and on The Lizard deserves access to brilliant events — regardless of what’s in their pocket. The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we don’t receive any regular public funding. Every free event we put on is only possible because of the support of people like you. Port Navas Regatta

The Regatta starts at 12 noon on Saturday with the first race, The School Cup between Constantine and Mawnan Primary Schools, kicking us off at 12.30. There will be a food van; PNYC Bar & Restaurant food; the traditional cake stall; a bar; young kids races such as Egg &. Spoon and Sack Racing; games in the field including Cocconut Shy, Splat the Rat etc and a new game, Donald Duck Shoot; a tombola; the normal Regatta Races including rowing, run-and-row, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking; the chaotic but brilliant Fun Race; a grand raffle (donations of prizes most welcome); The Constantine Silver Band; and after the prize giving we will have live music and dodgy dancing and singing from the crowd as we welcome back Elvis Duane Presley, supported by Jake singing some banging hits.

ELECTRIC ROCK COLLECTIVE 31 May – 9 August Ages 11-18 | 10 x Sunday Workshops | 12 noon – 4pm £50 for the full course – Just £5 per week (Supported by South Kerrier Alliance CIC) BOOK HERE Who are the Electric Rock Collective? Imagine as many musicians as possible, all playing together in perfect sync—big energy, big sound, big vibes (think mass rock performances for inspiration!). Now imagine you playing in that collective with friends old and new! Now imagine that you’ve practiced for 10 weeks and now your live on stage at Coronation Park. Stop imagining and JOIN US… When: May: 31 June: 7, 14, 21, 28 July: 5, 12, 19 August: 2, 9 12.00 PM – 4:00 PM Cost: £50 for all 10 sessions The grand finale? A live performance at Busk It! on August 16th! What Happens Over the 10 weeks? SESSION 1: Meet The Collective FIRST: Get to know everyone through icebreakers and a casual jam session and then learn a song as a whole collective (Electric Orcestra) We’ll figure out who plays what and at what level. THEN: We choose a song YOU want to learn (within your genre—rock, pop, indie, whatever your groove is). We start working on it together and getting the basics down. This is where the magic starts—strangers become bandmates. SESSIONS 2 -9: Make It Sound Good PRACTICE, practice, practice.
