Longthorpe Tower Tours

Step Into the Story of Longthorpe Tower – the surviving part of a 14th-century fortified manor house, full of charm and history. Inside, you’ll discover one of the most remarkable collections of medieval wall paintings in Western Europe, offering a rare and fascinating glimpse into life and ideas from centuries ago. Our friendly and knowledgeable volunteer guides are at the heart of every visit. They love sharing the Tower’s stories and will help bring its history and artwork to life in an engaging and accessible way. Guided tours are available on most Saturdays and Sundays from 28 March to 1 November 2026. Tour Details Duration: 1 hour Location: Longthorpe Tower Meeting Point: At the bottom of the steps During your visit, you can also pick up a beautifully illustrated guidebook for just £3.50, a lovely memento to take home and enjoy. Tours are pre-booked, so we recommend booking ahead to make sure you don’t miss out.

Archery for Everyone – new inclusive sessions at Nene Outdoors. We’re excited to welcome you to a friendly and inclusive day of archery, perfect for beginners and anyone curious to try something new. Butterfly Fused Glass Workshop

Join us for a relaxed and creative adult fused glass workshop where you’ll design and make two beautiful glass butterflies. Led by experienced glass artist June Massey, a member of the Creative Glass Guild, this session is perfect for beginners and anyone keen to try something new. You’ll explore two different fused glass techniques – first learning how to cut and shape your glass using a mould, and then working with a pre-cut template to create your own unique design. With plenty of colour choices and creative freedom, each butterfly will be completely personal to you. Along the way, you’ll discover how different types of glass are used in fused glass making, with guidance and support throughout.
