Step Into the Story of Longthorpe Tower – the surviving part of a 14th-century fortified manor house, full of charm and history. Inside, you’ll discover one of the most remarkable collections of medieval wall paintings in Western Europe, offering a rare and fascinating glimpse into life and ideas from centuries ago. Our friendly and knowledgeable volunteer guides are at the heart of every visit. They love sharing the Tower’s stories and will help bring its history and artwork to life in an engaging and accessible way. Guided tours are available on most Saturdays and Sundays from 28 March to 1 November 2026. Tour Details Duration: 1 hour Location: Longthorpe Tower Meeting Point: At the bottom of the steps During your visit, you can also pick up a beautifully illustrated guidebook for just £3.50, a lovely memento to take home and enjoy. Tours are pre-booked, so we recommend booking ahead to make sure you don’t miss out.
