We check the usual frankly silly number of local websites, then look for events that feel rainy-day friendly: cinemas, theatres, talks, workshops, galleries, concerts, cosy venues, and anything less likely to involve standing in a muddy field making brave weather noises.

Anyone interested in attending can contact either Janette Jones-Pipe or Revd Michael and we will be happy to welcome you to the next meeting. Please speak to us on Sunday or drop an email to either Janette on or Michael on We start usually with something relating to church - we might look at a bible reading or part of a service. This is followed by a general chat over "breakfast" which usually involves pancakes and cream. After this there is some sort of activity, this might be a craft, a puzzle or a table top game. Recent activities include a treasure hunt using word riddles; making key rings; a code breaker game; a bowling tournament and baking shortbread to raise money for Christian Aid.And to answer the question at the beginning - - I'm a stamp!!
