A multi-award winning violinist she presently plays with the BBC SSO. She has played for Aboyne audiences a number of times, and she loves playing in the Church in Finzean so much that she chosen to include it in the venues where she will be playing pieces from her new album “Chronicles for Solo Violin”. She will be performing in the Birse and Feughside Church, Finzean on Tuesday 14th October at 7.30pm, a variety of lesser known pieces, including works by Sophie Carmen Eckhardt-Gramatte, Sally Beamish, Elizabeth Maconchy and Grazyna Bacewicz. Refreshments will be provided after the concert, when you will have a chance to talk to Katrina. Bring along your own gold or silver to melt down and transform into a new piece of jewellery or use Megan’s scrap gold for a fee (approx £100-150 for a ring in 9ct). Please ensure the pieces you are bringing have a hallmark on them to show the metal quality, if in doubt just get in touch and we can advise. If your pieces have gemstones in them these can be removed at the beginning of the workshop before melting the metal down.
