Monday Summer Music and Art Kids Club

Where Stories Find Their Sound & Sight! This August, step inside the pages of your favourite books at our Music & Art Holiday Club. Inspired by the National Year of Reading and the stunning Craven Arts Exhibition, we’re spending five days turning ink and paper into rhythm and masterpieces. From composing "soundtrack" soundscapes for classic tales to creating gallery-ready art inspired by literary legends, your child will explore how stories live outside of books. Children will take part in both music and art sessions. Led by professional artist educators with experience of working with children in schools and community settings. DBS checked. Limited places available. Objectives: Develop a broad range of practical art skills, create work to fit a topic brief, have fun and improve creative confidence. Materials and equipment required: All materials provided. **Please only wear older clothes as we do use paint, glue etc. Wrap around childcare between 8am - 4:30pm is charged at an extra £7.50 per day. Please tick the box at the end of the sign up form. Only the first child is payable, wrap around care for your second/third child will be free of charge. About your tutors: Jane Carlisle Bellerby is a silk and mixed media artist and experienced teacher whose teaching goals are to introduce people to a broad range of art techniques and media, improve creative confidence whilst also encouraging people to view companionable art-making as a tool for nurturing personal wellbeing.
