Learn, laugh & dance your way into the rhythm of Gypsy Jazz! Join Cathy Harrison and Michael Joyce from Vintage Tap & Swing for an upbeat introduction to Lindy Hop and classic Swing Era styles. Perfect for beginners, this lively workshop will have you moving with confidence in no time – no partner or prior experience required. With a focus on fun, connection and rhythm, Cathy and Michael will guide you through accessible steps to get you ready for the Sunday live band social dance with Chardon Bleu at The Gillespie Centre. Founded in Edinburgh over a decade ago, Vintage Tap & Swing celebrates the roots of swing dancing, inspired by the original pioneers of the early 20th century. Cathy and Michael began dancing during the 1990s Lindy Hop revival and have trained with legendary figures including Frankie Manning and Dawn Hampton. Their teaching blends authenticity, warmth and joy; so come along, wear comfortable clothes, smooth soled shoes, bring water, and let your feet be happy! Spaces are limited to 30 participants.
