Professors Matt Dimmock and Andrew Hadfield from Sussex University will discuss how the play represents love and marriage, and that dizzying speed of youthful experience. They will reflect on how well Shakespeare knew Italy and its customs, and how much the play was designed to show off the author’s literary prowess and ambitions.
