After a hiatus of over a decade, Abakush is back. Back with a new look, new brand, new tunes, renewed energy, but still carrying the same powerful message. This predominantly female 9-piece group from Brixton was formed in 1981 by a group of like- minded individuals. They originally performed as Abacus, which evolved into Abakush and now Kush Abakush – ‘Abba’ of Aramaic origin – the common word for father in modern Hebrew and ‘Kush’ representing the Motherland. Whilst Abakush is widely considered a reggae group, they incorporate elements of Jazz, Soca and Gospel into their sound.

A celebrar la vida con Perreo, Cumbia, Champeta, Salsa, Soca y mas. LINE UP Flaca / Bushbby / Susobrino / Onda Saoco / Immigrant Party / Desta French FLACA Iconic DJ and cultural agitator returns to the stage with the same energy that made her one of the key figures in urban and electronic sound. Her sets blend reggaeton, guaracha, cumbia, rap, and hybrid genres emerging from the depths of SoundCloud, creating a raw and immersive dance ritual. SUSOBRINO (DJ set) Bolivian-Belgian artist and cumbia ambassador Susobrino guides audiences through everything from sweet cumbias and boleros, to sweat-inducing reggaeton and heavy percussive bass. DESTA FRENCH (DJ set) Singer and UK Latinx legend will be behind the decks with a selection of Salsa, Cumbia and other Latin dancefloor gems. IMMIGRANT PARTY Patriots of the Global South, and the selectors of overlooked and forgotten dance music. Expect selections threading through 70s – 00s Caribbean, Latin America & Africa. ONDA SAOCO Ana Isabela & Nora have come together to form their duo, Onda Saoco, inspired by the percussive foundations that make up the genres they love, encompassing the cultures of Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Women in Jazz elevates women performers by hosting events and workshops. Its community is made up of 10,500 people, including singer-songwriters, producers, instrumentalists and composers. Women in Jazz has produced radio shows for Sky TV, Jazz FM and British Airways, run panel discussions at Love Supreme Festival, programmed live events at venues including Ronnie Scott’s, and directed and produced a YouTube show, Uncovered, which spotlights the most exciting female talent from across the UK. Supported by a grassroots music grant from Arts Council England, helping us continue to champion emerging artists and live music in the community. All events support Lewisham Donation Hub, a local charity providing vital support to those facing acute hardship across South East London. The largest pub garden in SE London will have street food, drinks, and a laid-back summer atmosphere. Families are welcome, with free entry for children, market stalls, and activities to keep little ones entertained.

**Echoes of Time** is a concert experience that brings together classical and contemporary music in a fresh and engaging way, combining acoustic performance with electronic elements. The programme connects music from composers such as Beethoven and Shostakovich with newly written works, alongside influences from folk traditions. By placing these different styles side by side, the concert highlights unexpected links across time and genre, creating a dialogue between past and present. Performed by highly skilled musicians and composers from across London’s freelance scene—many of whom also work with leading orchestras—Echoes of Time offers a dynamic and immersive listening experience, where familiar works are reimagined and new music finds its place alongside them.
