Creative Composing Lab - Summer 26

Compose for BCMG musicians! Sunday 28 June 2026, 10.00am to 6.00pm 14 - 18 years olds CBSO Centre, Berkley Street, B1 2LF Creative Composing Lab is an exciting opportunity for young people aged 14 to 18 (school years 10 - 13) to compose for BCMG musicians guided by the expert knowledge of composer David Horne from Royal Northern College of Music. If you love creating music or you need ideas for your GCSE, BTEC or A-level composition, Creative Composing Lab is for you. Participants need some music notation skills. At the end of the workshop day there will be a performance music created during the day for family and friends. The concert will also be recorded and shared after the event. We are no longer able to support zoom participants for these workshops so you must be able to attend in person. Places are free, but need to be booked in advance. A suggested donation of £12 per participant will ensure we can continue our workshop programme.
