Discover Butterflies & Wildlife Walk with Dave Fairlamb

This summer, join us for a fascinating morning of wildlife discovery at Brading Roman Villa as we partner with Natural Links to offer two special guided nature walks. Led by Dave Fairlamb of Natural Links, these guided walks will explore the rich and varied habitats surrounding Brading Roman Villa, including meadows, hedgerows, woodland and downland. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a butterfly survey as part of the nationwide Big Butterfly Count, organised by Butterfly Conservation. Along the way, we'll also be looking out for breeding birds, mammals, dragonflies, damselflies and the beautiful wildflowers that make summer such a special season for wildlife. Whether you're an experienced nature enthusiast or simply curious about the wildlife on your doorstep, these walks offer a wonderful chance to learn more about the natural environment while enjoying the stunning landscape around the Villa. Dates: Tuesday 28 July 2026 Wednesday 5 August 2026 Time: 10:30am – 12:30pm Cost: £15 per person What to bring: Binoculars are recommended to help you make the most of the wildlife spotting opportunities.
