Join us for a day of activities where we identify local animal and plant species, suitable for all ages. Outdoor Families Children and young people All Ages Price: Free A day of free activities, suitable for children and adults alike. Scientists, volunteers, and members of the local community will work together to identify as many species as possible of plants, animals, and fungi. Despite being at the heart of a bustling metropolis, Westminster is home to a surprising range of biodiversity including bats, hedgehogs, foxes, insects, and invertebrates and even snakes.At 27 acres, Paddington Rec is one of our biggest parks, providing a unique opportunity for recording species. By documenting the range of species in our parks, we aim to raise awareness of and celebrate Westminster's biodiversity, protecting it for generations to come. You don't need any previous experience, just appropriate clothing and an open mind.  Activities will include pond dipping, moth traps, pitfall traps, camera traps and more.
