Expand your knowledge and confidence using colour with this fun and informative day exploring Colour Theory and how it can work within your printed images. Learn simple colour theory using a colour wheel as a guide, mix opaque and translucent colours. Experiment with different colour palettes. Continue to explore colour theory through creating abstract coloured monoprints. Course structure • Explanation of principles of colour theory with examples • Learn the principles of colour mixing • Experiment with mixing and transforming colour • Work with different colour palettes to prepare monoprints • Print your plate using the etching presses and hand-burnishing techniques Pre course information No preparation required. Experience level Suitable for anyone from a creative background interested in how to use colour effectively. Open to all abilities. Maximum 8 places
