Promising ‘Music, Mischief, Mayhem!”, the shows follow an acclaimed 2025 tour and a legendary sold-out performance at the London Palladium - proving that the British public’s appetite for classic variety, sharp wit, and big-band swing is stronger than ever. Inspired by the timeless chemistry of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford, this modern-day homage brings a uniquely British "Prat Pack" twist to the stage. Accompanied by the powerhouse 15-piece Barry Robinson Big Band, the show is a masterclass in variety, blending effortless banter with world-class vocals. From their early days as Bluecoats and Greencoats to becoming the undisputed kings of primetime television, the quartet’s 40-year friendship remains the heartbeat of the show, offering audiences a rare, unscripted glimpse into the camaraderie of four true icons. Join us for the evening to celebrate the great 70’s/80’s Soul and Funk songs from George Benson, Quincy Jones, George Duke, Michael Jackson, Jeffrey Osborne, The Brothers Johnson and more. “Thunderthumbs” the 10-piece band led by top UK Session bassist Phil Mulford plays the hits and more in an evening of the funky bass lines that the great US bassist Louis Johnson played on. Come on down for an evening of great songs and funky grooves. The set-list includes cuts from throughout Louis’ career from his time with Billy Preston in 1972 through to The Brothers Johnson and the Quincy Jones produced hits he played on, songs like George Benson’s Love X Love, Quincy Jones tracks ‘The Dude’, ‘Ai No Corrida’, Michael MacDonald’s ‘I Keep Forgettin’ and his own group The Brothers Johnson’s ‘Strawberry Letter 23’, ‘Stomp’ as well as a whole host of funky instrumentals. South East Essex Schools’ Music Association (SEESMA) returns in 2026 with Lights, Camera, Animate! —a spectacular celebration of the magic of animation. Step into the world of cartoons and cinema as we journey through the history of animation, bringing to life some of your all-time favourite animated characters and soundtracks. Join choirs and orchestras from over 60 schools across South East Essex as they sing and play their way through iconic themes and unforgettable moments from the animated world. Expect colour, creativity, and plenty of nostalgia—this is a show the whole family will love. SEESMA was formed in 1980, continuing a proud tradition of music festivals in Southend that spans almost ninety years across a variety of venues. Each year, SEESMA organises and hosts both the Junior Music Festival—held over five nights at the Cliffs Pavilion—and the Infant Music Festival at Kings Road Church. Each performance will support one of five chosen charities. Tickets are always in high demand and shows are likely to sell out—so be sure to book early and secure your seat for this unforgettable animated adventure.
