The Enemies of Turin are a band untethered by convention—every performance a raw, unrepeatable collision of sound and instinct. Nothing is scripted; everything is discovered in the moment. Though the five members have crossed paths in various projects, tonight they come together in a fresh formation—an uncharted meeting point that promises something entirely new, never before heard. Audiences can expect a thrilling, one-off experience: a surge of beat-driven electronic improv jazz, where genres dissolve and reassemble in real time. Towering grooves, thunderous basslines, razor-sharp hooks, and shimmering electronic textures intertwine to create vast, immersive soundscapes that pulse with energy and unpredictability. At the helm of rhythm is Jack Yardley, an award-winning London-based jazz drummer, composer, and educator whose playing is as bold as it is inventive. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and recipient of the Help Musicians Postgraduate Jazz Award, Yardley has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz. As the driving force behind the project Ken Hoon, and a regular presence at some of the UK’s leading jazz venues, his performances are marked by precision, creativity, and a fearless sense of exploration.
