The Gary Fletcher Blues Band We are very pleased to have them back after such a great evening last year. The band are: Gary – acoustic and slide guitars, banjo and ukelele Tom Leary – (Lindisfarne, Feast of Fiddles, etc) violin Alan Glen – (Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero etc) harmonica Andy Billups – (The Hamsters) bass Nick Ritchie – (Canto, Mud) guitars Sam Kelly – (Tom Robinson, Circulus) drums Here Gary plays his own songs on acoustic guitar. They are not a blues band playing blues by aging white Brits, instead you have a collection of strong songs performed with taste, intelligence and dignity with the acoustic rather than the electric guitar to the fore. There’s a nice sense of space and atmosphere throughout. Website
