If music be the food of love, play on…we are commanded by the bard himself. Join us for a celebration of some of Shakespeare’s greatest words set to music on Friday 24th April 2026 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Millhouses Church. Daniel Sumner (baritone) will be our guest soloist for the evening. Drama, romance, adventure and comedy from many of Shakespeare’s plays will be represented, including from The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice, Measure for Measure, As you Like it, Twelfth Night, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Love’s Labour’s Lost, along with several of his sonnets. The musical arrangements inspired by the bard’s words include those by composers Bob Chilcott, Matthew Harris, Daniel Hellden, John Rutter, George Shearing and others.
