Join this relaxed 2-hour hand-building pottery workshop and create your own unique egg tray using a forma. You’ll shape and refine your clay piece before adding your own handmade decorative details to personalise it. Once complete, your tray will be professionally fired and glazed, ready for collection at a later date. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to enjoy a creative and hands-on experience. Please note, we cannot refund or transfer your booking unless your original place is filled. If you wish to use our Tearoom, you must book via our website as we cannot guarantee availability.

This is an evening Open Studio Access which allows you to come and use the pottery workshop facilities to create your own makes.  This can be hand-building projects or on the potters wheel.  You can come for 2 or 4 hours.  This is not a taught session so although our Pottery Teachers will be on hand for support and advice they will not teach one-to-one. If you book for 2 hours please email to let us know what time you will be attending so we can ensure enough room for everyone. From February 2026 we are changing the structure of our Open Access sessions. You must buy your clay from us (the cost includes your clay, glazes and 2 firings). Sessions fees will are being reduced. Please note our Tearoom closes at 5pm and refreshments will not be available during this session.

Watercolour Wednesday 10th June

Join us in the gallery for our Watercolour Wednesday afternoon. Got a degree in art or never held a brush before come and paint with Karen. In this session you will be guided step-by-step to create a miniature watercolour landscape painting incorporating a range of techniques. (See photo) All materials provided for this class. This session is very informal and relaxed. It’s taught by veteran watercolour artist Karen Buckels who has spent a lifetime of teaching art. “If yours isn’t at the same standard as mine then it’s my fault and NOT YOURS and i’ve never had a failure yet!” ~ Karen Buckels. This session will start at 1pm. Please note that if you wish to use our Tearoom after the workshop you must book via our website as we cannot guarantee availability. We work hard to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money. We therefore have a clear non-refundable & no transfers policy to ensure that we cover our costs and protect the ongoing viability of the workshop. we do appreciate that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean that you can’t attend a workshop and we are happy for you to send along a friend to take your place, we will need their name and contact details prior to the workshop.
