LP Creatives and The Leatherhead Theatre, invite you to join the cast of ‘Beauty and the Beast’! SATURDAY JULY 25th We are seeking talented performers (must be aged between 7-15 years – school years 3 – 11 in Sept 2026) to join The Leatherhead Theatre pantomime company. Candidates must have good dance skills and a strong stage presence. We will be casting for both dancer/villagers. Ages 7 to 12 (nobody under 7 on Sept 1st 2026) ARRIVE FROM 10AM to be ready to DANCE for 10.30AM. AUDITION will last until approx 11.30AM. Ages 13 to 15 (max age year 11 in Sept 2026) ARRIVE FROM 11.30AM Ready to dance for 12PM. AUDITION will last until approx 1PM All selected children must be available for all show performances All candidates should wear comfortable (and suitable) shoes and clothing and be prepared to dance on their own. We look forward to seeing you there!! Please note that children remain the responsibility of parents during this time who are welcome to stay in the cafeteria area for the duration of the audition. After last year’s ‘The Gin Chronicles: A Scottish Adventure’, The Misfits of London return to The Leatherhead Theatre with “The Gin Chronicles at Sea”, a vintage, radio-style comedy harking back to the Golden Age of The Goons, Tony Hancock, Noel Coward and general mid-century mischief and mayhem. After a surprise visit from his Aunt – a woman of teutonic girth and fearsome oratory – upper-class twit John Jobling decides he should take a holiday, opting for the delights of the Atlantic Ocean aboard one of the most luxurious passenger liners in the world. In a rare fit of common sense, Jobling insists his housemaid Doris Golightly accompany him. What should be a charming voyage across the sea with cocktails, lashings of shuffleboard and no necessity for amateur detection whatsoever becomes instead… well, it’s certainly not what Jobling & Golightly had in mind! Having originated as an interval performance during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. Riverdance has gone on to become a worldwide phenomenon. This 25th production is a powerful and stirring reinvention of the show, celebrated the world over for its Grammy Award-winning music and the thrilling energy and passion of its Irish and international dance. See the close-ups, the amazingly fast feet, the expressions and emotions of the dancers and musicians, and the creative camera angles that show the work more intimately and revealingly than is possible for an audience sitting in the stalls. A brief documentary detailing the history of Riverdance precedes the show. Kingston Chamber Concert Musical and Amicable – Mozart String Trios and Flute Quartet in D. Mozart’s sparkling first flute quartet (K285) was commissioned by amateur flautist Ferdinand De Jean and completed in Mannheim on Christmas Day 1777. His monumental Divertimento for string trio (K563) was composed in Vienna in 1788, with Mozart playing viola for the first performance. Meanwhile, over in England, the original Musical and Amicable Society was in full swing – a collective of musicians who met in the Cherry Street Tavern “for practice and recreation”!
