SUP Yoga

Two of the most grounding things you can do — yoga and being on the water. We combined them. SUP Yoga at Crystal Lake is a one-hour session blending Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga on a stand up paddleboard, set on the calm, natural waters of our Lincolnshire lake. Each class weaves together movement, strength and flexibility work alongside pranayama breathing techniques and meditation — leaving you feeling both energised and on the water adds a whole new dimension to your yoga. The board responds to every movement, quietly deepening your focus and body awareness in a way that a studio floor simply can’t replicate. It’s challenging, calming and genuinely unlike anything else. Poses are held gently for longer periods, typically between three and five minutes, allowing the muscles to soften and the deeper connective tissues, including the fascia, ligaments, and joints, to receive mindful, sustained attention. This meditative approach to yoga encourages deep relaxation, improved flexibility, and energetic balance, while creating space for self-reflection, inner stillness, and calm. The Tranquility Retreat is designed to help you slow down, recharge, and leave feeling genuinely renewed — from a morning yoga flow through to a deeply restorative sound bath, with plenty of time to simply be in between. Your Day 10:00 Welcome DrinksSettle into the beautiful surroundings with a welcome drink on arrival. Meet your hosts and fellow retreat-ers. 10:30 – 11:30 Morning Yoga FlowGently stretch and warm the body with a softly uplifting morning yoga practice. Begins with a short meditation to set your intentions, followed by tension-releasing asana and slowly warming sun salutations. Uplifting essential oils are applied to the temples during savasana. 11:30 – 12:30 Open Water Swim / SaunaDip your toes, float, or swim in the blue crystal-charged water of The Crystal Lake. If swimming isn’t for you, our Barrel Sauna will be toasty and ready. The lake bed is covered with calcite and septarian crystals, infusing the water with calming and uplifting energies that aid relaxation and support transformation. 12:30 – 14:30 Lunch and Free TimeA delicious buffet-style lunch with pastas, salads, and sweet treats. Learn To Sup

Learn to SUP at Crystal Lake is a 2-hour introductory session covering everything you need to get confidently onto a stand up paddleboard. Set on our beautiful purpose-built lake in Lincolnshire, with easy ramped entry and exit, it’s a brilliant experience for all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to those who’ve been curious for a while and finally want to give it a go. Once you have your confidence, weekly paddling sessions are available where you can bring your own SUP or hire one of ours for 50 minutes, taking in the scenery and nature at your own pace. What to expect Duration 2 hours Group session price £60 per person 1-1 lesson price £90 per person Location Crystal Lake, Ocean Walker Academy, Lincolnshire Instructor Sam Lister (qualified) Experience needed None — suitable for all ages and abilities What’s included in your session Your session with Sam covers everything from the basics through to paddling around Crystal Lake with confidence. Lifejacket, board and paddle are all included in the fee.
