Children's crochet: make a basket Hosts: Val Riddiough and Shirley Mawhinney Time: 2pm - 4pm Price: £15 This workshop is for children who are aged 8+. Crochet requires a level of dexterity in their fingers that usually hasn't formed before age 8. We want children to have the best experience and not be put off learning this skill. This class is for children who are beginners to crochet and for those who can already crochet. They will be taught how to make a basket. We will adapt the style to suit their ability so everyone will go home with something that they can use. They will learn skills which will help them to never be bored in their summer holiday. Examples of baskets will be displayed for inspiration. All materials will be provided at the class. If your child already has crochet hooks and yarn please feel free to bring them along. What We Need From You: Your name, email address and telephone number, your child's name. Please also make us aware of any disabilities, special requirements or anything you need us to be mindful of when teaching your child. You can do this by sending us an email at Children should be accompanied to this workshop by an adult. Adults are expected to stay for the duration of the class. A comfortable seating area is available along with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Free wifi is also available. During the workshops, we may take photographs for use on our social media and on our website.
