Extraordinary things are coming to Chelmsford as Roald Dahl’s brilliant little bookworm steps onto our stage in Matilda Jr. the Musical presented by local amateur group Offspringers. When the courageous and clever Matilda Wormwood finds herself stuck with uncaring parents and a terrifying headmistress, she discovers that the power to change her own story might just be inside her all along. With the help of her kind-hearted teacher Miss Honey, and a school full of mischief-making friends, Matilda sets out to prove that even the smallest person can do something truly remarkable. Expect magical mayhem, high-energy songs, imagination bursting at the seams, rebellious fun, unforgettable characters, and a heartfelt message of bravery, friendship and standing up for what’s right.
