THE RIFT + THE VOYAGE OF ARKA KINARI – Immersive Films Storytelling that moves, challenges and inspires. Experience an evening of immersive cinema from 4Pi Productions, presenting two climate stories that bring the urgency of our changing planet to life. Featuring The Rift, winner at the New Images Festival in Paris and the acclaimed documentary The Voyage of Arka Kinari, recipient of a Special Jury Award at the Jena Fulldome Festival in Germany. The Rift (8min) Set against the rich and diverse landscapes of Zimbabwe, this striking dance film explores the tension, resilience and deep interconnectedness between people and the natural world in the face of climate change. Through movement, the performers embody the impact of environmental disruption, revealing the fragile yet profound bond that unites humanity and nature. The Voyage of Arka Kinari (39 min) Step aboard the 70-ton sailing vessel Arka Kinari, reimagined as a floating cultural platform dedicated to raising awareness of the climate crisis. Join acclaimed artists Filastine & Nova on a remarkable global journey, where music and art become tools for connection, activism, and resilience. Crossing oceans and cultures, their voyage highlights the urgent need for collective action through a shared creative language. Mr. Scruff / 360º Potato Disco Get ready for an unforgettable evening as CULTVR hosts Mr. Scruff for its second 360º Potato Disco. Hailing from Manchester, Mr. Scruff is a legendary DJ, producer, cartoonist, and musical adventurer with over three decades behind the decks. Renowned for marathon sets and seamless genre-hopping from soul, funk, and reggae to house, electro, and techno, Mr Scruff crafts vibrant journeys through sound, with every performance uniquely tuned to the space and crowd. A true sound obsessive, he travels with his own mixer, effects units, vinyl stash, a sound engineer, and sometimes even… boiled eggs. For this CULTVR performance, he’s joined by long-time collaborators MC Kwasi and VJ Jim, adding lyrical energy and visual wizardry to the night’s immersive format. Expect dancing, deep cuts, and dynamic projections filling the dome in full audiovisual synergy. We’re opening early for a pre-party in our outdoor garden, featuring Cardiff’s own Pamoja Disco Club, a collective known for heating up dance floors with jazz, boogie, afrobeat, and global grooves and special guest Beavs. Come early, grab a drink, soak up the music.
