Essex Pride 2026

Chelmsford Theatre is supporting Essex Pride by providing the box office for their festival ticket sales. Essex Pride is back again and returns for its 22nd year with the Pride festival in Central Park, and Pride March through Chelmsford City centre. This year’s unmissable Pride celebrations include main stage performances from Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton, RuPaul Dragrace stars Danny Beard and Cheryl The Queen, Katrina, formerly of Katrina and the Waves and many more acts across the two festival stages. Plus all of the following: • The Pride Festival Stage with live acts and DJ’s • The Cabaret stage, celebrating local artists and showcasing new talent. • New karaoke tent • The Pride Silent Disco Dance Tent • Entertaining Sideshows and Stalls • Food & Licensed Bars Essex Pride is an annual celebration of LGBT+ life in Essex and beyond. It began in 2003 as a event showcasing Essex’s successful approach to diversity and inclusion, and even becoming a factor in Chelmsford being granted City Status in 2012 by her Majesty The Queen. This is an event for the whole community, and it’s more than just a huge party. Pride inspires everyone to embrace equality and demonstrates that people from all walks of life can join together and celebrate diversity.
