Come along to our Friday Art Club hosted by Leggies from Young People Cornwall. Art Club is a chilled-out space where you can unwind, create, and be yourself. When: Every Friday Time: 4:00 – 5:00 pm Where: The Basement, Helston Ages: 11–18 (school students & home-educated young people welcome) Art Club is open to anyone aged 11–18 . Whether you come on your own or with friends, you’ll find a relaxed and welcoming space to de-stress creatively. What You Can Expect Get Creative: Try different art activities and express yourself freely Relaxed Vibes: A friendly, supportive environment where you can chill out Time to Unwind: Leave stress at the door and enjoy an hour just for you Bring Your Imagination No art experience needed at all! Whether you love drawing, painting, or experimenting with mixed media, you’re free to explore in your own way. Just bring your curiosity and creativity. Perfect whether you’re finding your feet or ready to push your limits. What do I need to know? Bring your own board and safety gear if you have it. We’ll provide some if you haven’t got any. All participants should arrive with appropriate footwear – which includes trainers, gym shoes or plimsolls. Roll the Dice - Games Night (13+)

New regular weekly event Featuring tournaments and terrains Fridays 6.30pm-10pm Roll the Dice bring their tabletop sessions to The Basement in Helston! These sessions are perfect for anyone looking to play tabletop games with their friends in a warm and supportive environment. Open to players from 13+, all you need are your models and an opponent – we will provide the mats and terrain! £5 for non-Basement members, £3 for those with a membership. Parents please note: For any under 16s, we will be requiring written consent and safeguarding forms to be completed, outlining expected code of conduct during the sessions and for under 16s to be collected before 9pm. For 16+ we will be requiring information on how they are leaving the sessions safely, if after 9pm. What do I need to know? Who is The Basement for? The Basement isn’t just another youth centre – it’s the space you asked for, designed by you, built for you. The space is primarily for 13-18 year olds. Your basement. Your rules. Your future starts here. I need dropping off in a car. Where? The Basement is in Trengrouse Way pay and display car park. Do I have to book? We have a limited capacity and booking means we can guarantee you a space. You can still turn up on the day and, if we have room, you’ll be able to come in. What is access like? We have level, step-free access from the car park into the building as well as accessible toilets.

HN Collective is a vibrant new dance academy, dedicated to inspiring creativity & confidence. Commencing 21st January 2026 Following the huge success of the December Taster Classes HN Collective will be taking over The Basement on Wednesday evenings for 3 fantastic street dance classes! Each class will get your body moving, you’ll learn new choreography, put together movements and practice routines…all whist listening to fantastic music in a venue with club vibes! School years: Years 4-6: 4:45pm-5:45pm Years 7-11: 6:00pm-6:45pm – this class is FREE! Open house: 7:00-8:00pm – this class is for all ages!
