Salford Creative Health Network Meeting

Shaping how culture and creativity can improve wellbeing in Salford. The next Salford Creative Health Network meeting is on Thursday 18 June 2026, from 11am to 1pm at Salford University’s Student Union. This meeting is for any health and social care services in the city – along with community groups and arts organisations. If you’ve had personal experience of creativity improving your wellbeing – then we’d love you to join the Network. Members of lived-experience forums are especially welcome, as are artists and creative practitioners. The focus of this meeting is to workshop the Salford Creative Health Action Plan as a zine. Zines are self-published, mini magazines that explore a subject someone feels passionately about. The word comes from fanzine. Salford has 2 zine libraries – so it seems like this publication has a special connection to the city. Staff from Salford University Library are going to bring some good examples of zines to the meeting as inspiration. Find out more about Salford Zine Library → Over the last few months, 7 community groups in Salford have been exploring what creativity means to them and how it improves their health. They’ve told us what they think the key barriers and opportunities are in the city. Before the meeting, we’ll send attendees a short synopsis of the community feedback and our current draft Action Plan.
