Sunday 7th June: Croquet Open Afternoon. A chance to try the fun and tactical sport of croquet free of charge, with an introduction to the basics from members of Ashby Croquet Club and then the opportunity to have a friendly game or two. On the croquet lawns at Moira Miners' Welfare sports ground, Bath Lane, Moira DE12 6BP (opposite Conkers Waterside entrance). 2pm to 5pm. Please wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. Children welcome if accompanied by an adult. More details about the club are at https://ashbycroquetclub.org.uk .
