The Listening Post is a mentoring and listening service for children and young people who live or study in Darlington. The listening sessions give students an outlet for their emotions whilst facilitating a safe space for them to process situations, and issues that may be causing upset and anxiety. Last academic year over 2289 listening sessions supported 241 students. 36 students benefited from long-term support of at least 20 sessions. Memoria: Four piece, North East Alt Punk. Falling Fortune: 4 piece hard rock band from Darlington and Redcar, consisting of Logan Walker, Angus Twiby, Tyler Carlson and James Williams. Carapace: Three piece Stoner Metal band from the North East featuring Oscar ward on guitar and lead vocals, drummer Charlie Aitkin and Rhys Tunstall on Bass.
