7.30pm-9pm, £15, age 13+, Tuesday 16 June 2026 // JW3 celebrates Bloomsday. James Joyce's novel follows Jewish Dubliner Leopold Bloom on his odyssey around the city on 16th June 1904. Joyce famously described his book as 'a novel of two peoples', the Irish and the Jewish. For Joyce enthusiasts worldwide, 16th June marks Bloomsday. Join us for the first ever 'kosher' Bloomsday at JW3, as Toby Lichtig shares his Joyce enthusiasm with Zachary Leader whose recent Ellmann's Joyce: The Biography of a Masterpiece and its Maker was a Times Literary Supplement Book of the Year, and award-winning Irish novelist Eimear McBride who counts Ulysses as one of her biggest inspirations. Toby Lichtig is... Eimear McBride is the author of four novels: ‘A Girl is a Half-formed Thing’, ‘The Lesser Bohemians,’ ‘Strange Hotel’ and ‘The City Changes Its Face’, as well as the non-fiction work ‘Something Out of Place: Women & Disgust’ and the short plays ‘Mouthpieces.’ She held the inaugural Creative Fellowship at the Beckett Research Centre, University of Reading and, in 2022, wrote and directed A Very Short Film About Longing (DMC Films/BBC), which screened in the London Film Festival. She is the recipient of the Women’s Prize for Fiction, Goldsmiths Prize, Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, Kerry Group Irish Novel of the Award, and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.She lives in London with her Irish-Jewish family.
