Live music weekend featuring autoharps. Organised by Neil Gillard for UK Autoharps. Begins at The Trooper Inn on Friday 10th July. Autoharpers gather at The Trooper from 5.30pm. At 8pm, there will be informal playing of the autoharps with singing. Local musicians with other instruments are welcome to join the autoharpers. Friday Fish and chip menu available at The trooper – 6pm to 8pm. Saturday 11th July The Weekend Autoharp Gathering continues on Saturday morning in the village hall from 10am – for classes, slow jam, open stage. All levels of experience (including no experience) are welcome. In the evening there will be an informal concert at either The Trooper Barn or the village hall. 10pm: Informal jamming and sharing at The Trooper. Sunday 12th July The village hall will be open from 10am for participants to meet and discuss instrument maintenance, song writing etc and to share songs and tunes. This is followed by a Gospel session led by Mike Fenton, after which the event formally ends. Participants may then meet informally at The Trooper from midday. Sunday Roast menu available at The Trooper – 12.30 to 3pm. Booking is advisable.
