About this event
“Keep your hat on” – A look at hats through the ages A presentation by Dr Janet Pennington We wear hats to keep our heads warm, but there are many other reasons for so doing. This colourful talk looks at hats in the past and sees how they have changed, whether for warmth, indications of status, or fashion. If you have ever wondered how hats were made, this talk will explain it. We will see some hat shops of the past. I will also bring along some of my own hats to wear and display. You might like to do the same! Cost: Members: FREE | Non-members £4 (including refreshments) Organiser: u3a Email: Website: https://shoreham-southwick.u3asite.uk
