Children's Event (6-11) - Build a Water Feature

Looking for something creative and different to keep the children entertained during the summer holidays? Join us for a fun-filled morning where young builders and designers can create their very own garden water feature using recycled materials. With plenty of imagination, a little teamwork, and lots of hands-on activity, children will transform everyday household items into unique creations to take pride in. No experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to get creative! Suitable for children aged 6–11 years. All basic equipment and materials are provided, but to enhance and personalise their creation, please bring along old frying pans, saucepans, bowls, dishes, plant pots, stones, or any interesting items that could become part of their masterpiece. £10 per child, including one accompanying parent and the basic kit. Sweets and refreshments will be available to purchase separately. Wednesday 19 August 2026 10:00am–12:00pm This special event is also helping to build for the future. Every ticket sold supports our fundraising campaign for a new extension, creating more space for exhibitions, activities and community events so that today’s children – and future generations – can continue to learn, explore and enjoy everything the centre has to offer.
