A spectacular silver coin hoard has just emerged from Cotswold soil – the first Iron Age coin hoard in the museum’s collection. It contains more than 160 coins dating to the late Iron Age, and displays a variety of stunning abstract designs attributed to the Dobunni tribe. There is rarely any wording on Iron Age coins, so what messages do they carry? Join Collections Engagement Officer James Harris to hear the story of how this important treasure was found and saved for the public and to see if we can decode some of the hidden meanings behind the images. Corinium Museum members can get free tickets by entering the special discount code when they check out. Help the Friends of the Corinium Museum raise money for the hoard’s conservation here – Iron Age Coin Hoard | Friends of Corinium Museum
