Join us for a Solstice Ceremony on the longest day of the year. An afternoon of movement, presence and connection curated by Casa Anicca. This is a space to slow down & breathe into the next chapter - as the sun reaches its fullest expression. The afternoon will unfold as follows: • Arrivals & Welcome • Nourishing Yin Yoga to soften and open the body • Cacao Ceremony with guided intention setting • Sound Bath • A gentle closing circle The ceremony will end at 4:30pm. There is an optional beach walk afterwards for those who want to enjoy the sea air before heading home. I will be walking to the beach, grabbing food and watching the waves to close the day and would love you to join. What to bring: Blanket for the beach (if you are joining the beach walk afterwards) Something warm Snacks Water Journal No previous experience is needed. Margate Textile Society meeting

Weekly meetings around the love of textile techniques, materials, styles, meanings, socio-political impact and potential for change and healing whilst honing and sharing timeless skills. No previous experience required. Bring your project or start one here! Tools, supplies, and support available. Donations of fabrics and yarn always appreciated. Drop-in £5 or £15 monthly, including refreshments [cake, teas and juice]. No one turned away for lack of funds. Free of under 18 or over 65. Ph: The first quilt is coming together! Two hundred and fifty of the about 1,000 fabric hexagons needed for this classic paper-pieced English quilt are now ready, as more hands join in to stitch it together. This beauty will be auctioned in support of the Weaving an Axis of Resilience: Manar, Daughter of Palestine initiative next September. Italian sourdough pizza with vegan and gluten-free options; bar with beers, ciders, cocktails and Italian wines; Thursday potato gnocchi & tiramisù; teas and brews, all served from 6pm.
