Kirkcudbright Galleries are delighted to welcome a solo exhibition by Joshua Miles: ‘Light’ Location: Mitchell Gallery, Kirkcudbright Galleries. (Level 3) Dates: 4th July – 18th October 2026 Artwork for sale in this exhibition Mitchell Gallery opening times: Monday – Saturday: 10am – 4:30pm Sundays: 11:30 – 4:30pm Joshua Miles is a local artist and printmaker who specialises in Reduction Linocuts. He was born in South Africa and studied Fine Arts at the University of Cape Town. Joshua met and married a Scottish woman and together they moved to Kirkcudbright in 2021. He has a house and studio in Castle street and when he is in there working he is open to visitors. Joshua, like many artists was drawn to the Artists Town and finds his inspiration from many walks in the local area. His passion is for capturing the play of light over the landscape or on water. Because of this he was nominated to be an associate member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists last year and has twice had his work in the Scottish Landscape Awards. This body of work is to show the best of the past five years of working and living in the area. Artworks shown on this page all by Joshua Miles: ‘A Crisp Morning’ , ‘Fishing Stakes’ , ‘Carrick’
