Renowned London collective return to Soho with their intoxicating brew of instrumental Jazz-Funk, Boogie, Fusion, Afrobeat and Global Rhythm - with a lineup that includes musicians that have worked with Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Alice Russell and Leroy Hutson. The live set will include selections from their latest album "Near-Earth Objects". Stalwarts of the London music scene, The Boom Yeh are at the forefront of redefining British Jazz-Funk with their high level musicianship, complex arrangements and electrifying live performances. Featuring musicians that have worked with Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Alice Russell, Leroy Hutson, The Heritage Orchestra and more, they have performed to sell out audiences at Ronnie Scott’s, EFG London Jazz Festival, Ealing Jazz Festival and Manchester Jazz Festival, garnering the support and praise of BBC Radio 6, Jazz FM and radio/club DJs far and wide. Propelled by the powerhouse rhythm section of band leader Jon Speedy (guitar), Matteo Grassi (bass) and Alessio Barelli (drums), the band’s compositions are interspersed with the sophisticated horn arrangements of sax player Ian Bailey, spotlighting renowned trombone player Tom White and baritone sax player Paul Silver. Some live shows are augmented with keyboards and percussion. Releases so far include debut album “Reverberations To Constellations” (2013), critically acclaimed Vinyl E.P “Darkstar” (2015) and “Live At Hideaway London” (2016).
