Odessa-born, British-raised singer-songwriter and pianist Valentina Keys fuses her Eastern European routes with Western to create a unique musical blend of melancholic pop, jazz, blues and soul. A regular on the London gigging scene, Valentina’s hauntingly James Bondesque music tags at your heartstrings and takes you on a journey. With two albums already available on all platforms (“Love is…” and “Love is Love” ) Valentina is currently preparing her third album. She has worked with such acclaimed producers Stuart Epps, Andres Mesa, Alex Hardrum and Paul Tipler. Her latest releases include songs "Believe”, “Sing a Song”, “Somebody” and the ultimate Bond tune “Fallen Angels” are now available on all streaming platforms.

Dom Pipkin

Alongside a glittering session career (David Byrne, Ray Davies, Morcheeba), piano player and songwriter Dom Pipkin has been described by Blues in Britain as “one of the world’s greatest exponents of New Orleans piano”. He first discovered the New Orleans style in the early 90s, and has gone on to become a regular visitor and performer in that city, with appearances that include the highly acclaimed “Piano Night” and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival. He is a regular fixture on the European blues and boogie Woogie festival circuit having played 1000’s of club and theatre, radio and TV dates in a career spanning nearly three decades. Jazz star Jamie Cullum says “I can’t hold a candle to this guy”. Pipkin developed a particular specialisation for the unique flavours of maverick New Orleans piano star James Booker (1939 - 1983) capturing the player’s trademark combination of driving blues married with rhapsodic classical influences. He was invited to play at the world premiere of the documentary “Bayou Maharajah” at SXSW in 2014, and at multiple subsequent screenings of the film. Pipkin regularly performs and records in New Orleans, and has shared stages with legends such as Allen Toussaint, Dr John and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Grammy award winner Jon Cleary invites him to jam whenever he’s in town. In live shows Pipkin mixes his own compelling songwriting with blues and Big Easy classics.

Down To The Bone

Grammy Nominated project with over Half Million Sales "hailed as the kings of UK jazz groove". Down To The Bone is Stuart Wade as producer, writer and mastermind behind the whole groove project, working with other talented musicians and co-writers to bring together a project of good grooves. Set up at the tail end of 1995 when Wade decided to take a track from the soul band he was in at the time, Think Twice, and remix it to give it a rawer and stripped down feel. The result was the Down To The Bone remix of the track 'Joy Is Free' which had great success. This Way Forward will be released on Dome/Cherry Red Records on 5th June. Following on from the success of his remix he teamed up with Think Twice keyboard player, Simon Greenaway, to put together a string of songs. This resulted in the first release on a 12” single of Staten Island Groove . Released on Internal Bass Records, a label Wade set up with another member of Think Twice. This resulted in rave reviews for the single and club and radio play across the U.K. It was at this time that Stuart decided to try to complete an album, From Manhattan To Staten , a title Wade came up with to show his influences from across the pond, it was decided to try to take the whole sound over to America to see what would happen. Monzanto Sound presents a unique show featuring some guest artists and musicians that are part of their collective and network. This event will be about sharing a soul connection between creatives and they will be creating a space to feel the freedom and fluidity of improvisation through generosity. They will be merging funk beats with African percussion, neo-soul with dub effects to showcase some new and exciting material. Off the back of their debut album The Channel , which was critically acclaimed in the Observer and Radio 6, they will be taking that concept further in this one time only performance. Monzanto Sound are a rising, South East London-based music collective fusing together different styles from the African Diaspora and combining them with a hypnotic, psychedelic edge. A high-energy, rhythmic group with an ear for space and simplicity, their sonic aesthetic is carefully considered. Traversing through jazz-inflected funk, psychedelic trip- hop and cosmic neo-soul, they connect the dots using pulsating grooves, hypnotic polyrhythms and sublime vocals.
