Faith Under Fire – Prayer Brunch for Church Leaders Wednesday 17 June, 8:45–10:30am | The Vicarage | 76 Church Street | Reigate | RH2 0SP I'd love to invite you to a small, relational gathering for local church leaders on the morning of Wednesday 17 June. We'll be sharing a simple brunch together, and creating space to listen, reflect, and pray. I'll be joined by Howard Satterthwaite, Church Relations Lead for Open Doors (and former pastor of Westminster Chapel), along with Haruna, who has spent the past nine years serving among persecuted believers in Nigeria. Haruna brings first-hand insight into the realities facing the church in Sub-Saharan Africa, often working on the front lines in the aftermath of militant attacks. His story is one of resilience, courage, and faithful gospel witness under pressure. Howard will host a conversation with Haruna, and briefly share about the wider work of Open Doors among millions of persecuted Christians worldwide. This won't be a large event — just a chance, as a smaller group of leaders, to gather in a more personal setting to listen, ask questions, and pray together around a simple brunch, and to connect with our brothers and sisters in a challenging context.   Again and again, churches engaging with the persecuted church speak of: — deeper, more focused prayer — renewed courage and resilience in discipleship — greater unity and gratitude — a clearer grasp of what it means to follow Christ faithfully So my hope is simply to create a...
