A series of family yoga workshops following the wheel of the year, an opportunity for adults and children to connect with the seasons, weaving nature-themed yoga poses (like flowers, trees, or animals), breathwork, creative storytelling as a guided relaxation to foster family bonding and connection to the season's growth and balance. These workshops often feature themes of shedding winter's heaviness, welcoming light, and planting seeds for the future, using movement, music, and mindfulness to energize and ground participants for the warmer months. We end the session singing and celebrating nature gifts and chant for a peaceful world. 20th June - Sun Spiral Peace Circle A summer solstice gathering, welcoming warmer days with community bonding in joyful movements, songs, and games to connect with natural rhythms. Margate Textile Society meeting

Weekly meetings around the love of textile techniques, materials, styles, meanings, socio-political impact and potential for change and healing whilst honing and sharing timeless skills. No previous experience required. Bring your project or start one here! Tools, supplies, and support available. Donations of fabrics and yarn always appreciated. Drop-in £5 or £15 monthly, including refreshments [cake, teas and juice]. No one turned away for lack of funds. Free of under 18 or over 65. Ph: The first quilt is coming together! Two hundred and fifty of the about 1,000 fabric hexagons needed for this classic paper-pieced English quilt are now ready, as more hands join in to stitch it together. This beauty will be auctioned in support of the Weaving an Axis of Resilience: Manar, Daughter of Palestine initiative next September. Italian sourdough pizza with vegan and gluten-free options; bar with beers, ciders, cocktails and Italian wines; Thursday potato gnocchi & tiramisù; teas and brews, all served from 6pm.
