ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Learn the meaning of Tarot cards by illustrating a few of your favorite card interpretations. Create your images using collage, hand drawn artistry, digital mediums or a combination. All levels of experience are welcome! Tarot cards, watercolor, pencil & pen, by Perry Kroeger This workshop will deal primarily with the twenty-two Major Arcana cards of the tarot deck. Each participant will be encouraged to choose up to three Major Arcana cards for completion. Those familiar with the deck are welcome to select a minor arcana card to explore, as well. 2025 Art of Tarot with Perry Kroeger at CoSM Books and tarot decks of various styles will be available for inspiration and browsing. Artists in this class are invited to select a tarot deck author/illustrator of their choice, or to originate their own image from their preferred interpretation of that card. Tarot card, digital collage, by Perry Kroeger WHAT TO EXPECT: The history of Tarot, the structure of the deck and symbolism embedded in its imagery will be covered in this workshop. Through hands-on activities, artists in this class will be guided through the process of creating Tarot cards, utilizing both artistic and symbolic elements of Tarot. 2025 Art of Tarot with Perry Kroeger at CoSM Discover, Design & Divine: Brief history of Tarot: Slide presentation on the origins and development of Tarot decks.
