Mary in the Junkyard have quickly become one of the UK’s most intriguing new acts, stitching together haunting alt‑folk, shadowy art‑rock, and a kind of late‑night emotional rawness that feels both fragile and ferocious. Their songs drift between whispered confession and sudden, serrated bursts of noise — the kind of dynamic that hits even harder in an intimate room like Club 85.Frontwoman Clari Freeman’s voice is the anchor: cracked, expressive, and capable of turning a single line into a gut punch.
