ONE BOOKING IS FOR A TEAM OF 6 Join us for the first Folkestone is a Library Book Lovers Quiz Night to celebrate World Book Club Day at The Grand. Doors open at 6pm, with proceedings starting at 6.30pm and finishing around 9pm. This is a literary evening that will challenge not only your knowledge but also your creativity. Your host is the great Tim Gould of Folkestone's own Objectables. Having had several brushes with live music comparing, the odd TV appearance, and even officiating a couple of wedding ceremonies, Tim has discovered his most natural public speaking environment: quiz hosting. While he freely admits to knowing very little about literature, he can read—so with any luck, between now and the big night, he’ll have finished a few books and will be fully prepared to test you mercilessly on words and stuff. Teams may consist of up to 6 people. There is a pay bar that will be open; feel free to arrive with your choice of table snacks. VENUE INFORMATION This event takes place at The Grand, The Leas, Folkestone, CT20 2XL. Entry is via the North Entrance (Metropole Road East). Prizes: More than just team bragging rights, you can win tickets to book festival talks and book vouchers for local bookstores.
