Conversation Café

About this event

Sakina Group Participants This is a group for women who are new to speaking English. Come and have a chat and a cup of tea, practise your English and meet new friends. Conversation Café is part of our adult literacy and numeracy programme. Join us for conversation, tea and games while we use English and Scottish words and phrases, and learn about each other’s lives and cultures. Some of the things we have talked about include International Women’s Day, seasons and various cultural festivals. This event takes place at GWL but if you would like to join online from elsewhere please let us know by emailing From Memory to Stage: Teen Stories of South Asian Women in Scotland Drop in – no need to book Accessibility Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop.
