Join us for a relaxed but full morning of tuition on the techniques and stages involved in creating a beautiful textured raggy quilt. Depending on how big you want your quilt – you may not finish your quilt in this session but will leave with a good start made on your quilt in this fun workshop that you can then easily carry on at home and keep making it as big as you choose. This makes an ideal lap quilt, baby cot quilt, picnic blanket. They are very versatile quilts and hardwearing and need to be used and not just admired! 1 charm pack will make a small quilt of 25″x29″, 2 charm packs would be 37″x37″ which is standard baby size. What you’ll get: *Step-by-step tuition in raggy quilt techniques*Guidance suitable for beginners*A relaxed, social sewing environment*Quilting techniques*Expert tuition throughout*Tea, coffee & homemade cake What you need to bring: Depending on how big you want your quilt to be; and you can easily extend it after the workshop – as a minimum for the morning you will need: *For the Top of Quilt – At least 1 Charm Pack of Quilting Cotton Fabric, these are normally 40 or 42 x 5″ squares – I can help you source these if stuck, don’t worry. *For the Back – 1m Backing plain Fabric of same quantity per pack of charm squares*1m of cotton flannel or batting/wadding – cotton, bamboo, recycled is fine.
