About this event
Come and meet The Gruffalo & The Gruffalo’s Child at intervals on Sunday 16th August throughout the day at Ribble Steam Railway! Begin your journey at Ribble Steam Railway & Museum, where you will experience a steam train journey through the former Preston Docks which crosses the Ribble Estuary. The journey travels along the docks, pauses at the end momentarily before setting back to the middle of the railway line where the locomotive will uncouple and run around to the other end. Be sure to look at the view as you cross the swing bridge over the harbour entrance. You will be on the train approximately 35 minutes with the remainder of your visit available to meet The Gruffalo & Gruffalo’s Child plus explore the museum, it’s exhibits and children’s play area. Every child will receive a complimentary storybook, activity sheet, crayon, biscuit and juice to enjoy during the journey. When you return to the museum, The Gruffalo & The Gruffalo’s Child will be waiting to meet families, wave hello and pose for photos, so don’t forget your camera! Your visit includes entry to the museum so be sure to look around the engine displays and museum. You are welcome to look around the museum before or after your journey. Prebooking essential via Fox & Edwards Events
