Johnny Angel Wendell is the living breathing definition of a "lifer" musician having begun his career 46 years ago in Boston playing loud raucous punk rock. Fast forward to now--after 20 years on LA radio and 15 years as columnist for the LA Weekly--and he's become a funny, sly absurdist acoustic slinger penning anthems about loathing the DMV, sweet n sour love songs, the greatness of James Brown and all points in between.
