12th & 13th September 10.00am – 4.00pm Heritage Weekend The Museum will be open free of charge over the weekend for the Heritage Open Days, where some Museums and other places of local interest are open to the public free of charge (please look for the logo). The theme for this year is ‘ Everyday Histories of Working Lives’ and we will be reflecting through pictures and stories of how power has impacted working lives through the ages. We will also have some interactive activities and crafts for children and young at heart to enjoy. We will also proudly be one of the venues hosting the Maldon Art Trail, with new pieces of art being held within our Reception area and main galleries. The Museum will be and last entry to visitors is 3pm. As with all venues taking part in the Heritage Open Days, admission into the Museum is FREE. FREE ENTRY to this event. Astaria OPEN Minature Railway OPEN closing 3.00 pmThe train rides are subject to a small charge of £2 per adult and £1 per child ‘Marshall’ the Lilleshall pumping engine will be run by compressed air and other oil / diesel engines will be running. Tea Room Open Crafty Cabin Open.Extra charge applies.
